"When was the last time you were at a wedding that had a death defying hike, rogue waves, a luau, ultimate fighting, a presidential candidate and a budding bromance?" asks Papi Chulo. For most of us, the answer is never, but luckily, Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch took the time to Vox all the amazing moments during their unforgettable Hawaiian wedding on 08.08.08 so we could all take part in the festivities.
The story began last February, when Papi Chulo popped the question and Secret Agent Scotch said yes! Since then, they've kept us in the loop about all the details, from the bride's veil to the wedding song to the final To-Do List. And throughout it all, they inspired us with their love for each other. (I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than knowing your future husband thinks you are The Perfect Girl.)
It's an amazing love story and we are thrilled they shared it with us. Watch the video of the ceremony and please join us in wishing Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch the fairytale ending they deserve.

What was the last thing you built with your own hands?

I don't really know about having built any structure, but the last thing I put together is the playgroup that I organized for my son. He's a gifted kid -- really advanced in many ways and is showing, and has special needs. We can't always afford the things that he needs. We're not financially stable yet, but we don't live limited. We know that God faithfully provides for what we need even before we ask. And we know that He gives in different ways, sometimes even through abilities.
The Playgroup is a success! It's now an official weekly activity for Pablo and his friends and their moms. It's his official Toddler Art and Music class (part of his Homeschool Pre-school curriculum). I'm the main teacher, it's hard work, but it's worth every single weary bone in my body! My son deserves the best, and I will never settle for less. A wise friend once said to me that it is the quality of love that you give your child that will last him a lifetime.

Pablo is turning 3 on the 21st of this month. I'm so excited. We're planning on a Family Activity trip on the 20th and a candle-blowing celebration with his playgroup on the next day. Since it's his birthday, and I'm the main teacher for the playgroup, I'm planning on special crafts and activities for that day!
Oh, anyway, these are Pablo's paintings today. He was done after two. He showed me his Dinosaur painting and told me that it's a longneck (brontosaurus). He particularly chose to use black and brown on that one. He's such a wonder boy to us, hahaha! I can't wait to show his proud daddy!
At Vox, we believe that change is a good thing. After all, you wouldn't wear the same t-shirt day in and day out, so why should your blog have to suffer the same fate? Give your blog a new look with one of our latest themes (found under "New"), or pick from any of our hundreds of themes designed with your passions and personality in mind.
Until then... Enjoy!

Pablo is allowed to join the Junior Kids' Church because of his exceptional behavior. We take him with us every Sunday as one of his regular weekly activities, the other activities being: Playgroup on Thursday, and we're still believing for provisions for the DEVPED recommended Kindermusik classes. He loves the activities. In fact, he sometimes gets to be a character in their bible skits. One time, they wrapped him in some cloth and he willingly played out the role of Joseph (?) (not sure if that was the character or another).
Pablo gets to attend at least 4 kids' services on Sundays. When his friends are there, he loves it to the core. But there were times when, after one service, he pulls his nanny and walks around Victory center like a mayor, hahaha. He's popular, too! Almost everybody knows him by name, but he happily waves to those who don't (many of these people who wave to him, we haven't even met yet)...and we're guessing, it won't be long till he'll be friends with the rest of them!

Pablo was a bit puzzled on why we were going outside. I told him that we have a new activity. I got 3 plastic cups from the cupboard and cut some holes at the side part of the bottom. Pablo was getting more and more excited as he saw me prepare the soil which I got from my mom (as you can see in the picture, we have no garden to get soil from). I demonstrated shoveling in some soil into one of the cups with the use of a plastic spoon, then I told him to do the same to the remaining 2 plastic cups. I could sense that Pablo was giddy with excitement at the project. He couldn't stop smiling. Afterwhich, I showed him how to put in some of the seeds and water them. In his excitement, he poured a lot of water into one of the cups. I helped him take some of the water out and explained to him that he needs to put only as needed. I put water again into his water cup and let him pour again into the cups that had seeds.
I enjoyed this activity with my son, especially when I saw how much he loved doing it. I think I should think of more practical projects for us to do together in homeschool.
Today, we took Pablo out for a dinner of spaghetti and pizza at Greenwich Pizza. It's a local fastfood outlet that's been bought by a larger company (Jollibee), and has been taking some retouches on their store make-up, menu, and stuff. Pizza and pasta is relatively cheaper than any other pizza & pasta outlets.
37Php for Spaghetti.
119Php for 6 slices of pepperoni pizza.
Not bad.
Service is excellent.
One of the crew offered to take our pic as a family.
He earned a point from me!
And check out the lighting....great for our V803T Cellphone camera!
